SMS Terms & Conditions

What this covers

These terms apply to text messages sent by TrueFix Pittsburgh, operated by TrueFix Pittsburgh, to customers who have signed up for them. The texts are about a repair you have booked or asked about. They are not advertisements, and we do not send promotional offers through this program.

Signing up

You sign up by ticking the consent box, which is always left unticked for you to choose, and submitting either our text sign-up form or the repair request form. The person ticking the box must be the account holder or regular user of that mobile number. Ticking it and submitting the form is your signed, written agreement to receive these texts at that number.

You do not have to agree to texts to buy anything from us. Leave the box empty and we will still book, carry out and bill your repair, keeping in touch by phone call or email.

Messages you can expect

• confirmation that your appointment is booked, and a reminder before it;
• word that the technician is heading to you, or that the arrival window has moved;
• updates on a part we ordered and when we can come back to install it;
• a link to your invoice or receipt;
• replies when you text us a question.

How many, and what they cost

Message frequency varies with the job. A straightforward visit may mean just a couple of texts; a repair waiting on a back-ordered part will mean more. Message and data rates may apply under your mobile plan. We do not charge for the texts ourselves, but your carrier may.

Opting out

Text STOP in reply to any of our messages and the texts end. We also accept CANCEL, END, QUIT, UNSUBSCRIBE or STOPALL, and you can simply tell us by phone or email that you want them to stop. You will get one final text confirming the opt-out and no others after that. If you change your mind later, sign up again through the sign-up form.

Carriers, delivery and number changes

• Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
• Texts depend on your phone having service, and may be late or missing during outages or in places with poor reception.
• If you give up or change your number, text STOP from it first or let us know, so our messages don't reach whoever gets that number next.
• We do not share or sell mobile numbers or text-message consent to third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional use. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information generally.
