Avanti Wine Cooler Repair in Houses, Apartments and Rentals

We have no affiliation with Avanti and are not one of its service centers. A wine cooler still covered by the Avanti warranty belongs with Avanti first. Once it's out of coverage, give us the model number and the symptom when you book so we can look into parts ahead of time.

Basement laundry
In older houses the washer and dryer are often downstairs, past narrow steps and low beams, draining to a laundry tub or floor drain. Tell us how to get down there.
Rowhouses & older homes
New appliances often sit on old wiring, gas lines and vents. We check what feeds the machine as well as the machine.
Hillsides & parking
Steps up to the front door, permit-only blocks, alley entrances. A note about access when you book gets the visit started sooner.
Rentals & landlords
Tenants can book. The owner or manager gets the diagnosis and the price, and approves before any work.
Cold garages & porches
A spare fridge or freezer in an unheated space may stop holding temperature in winter without anything having failed. Check the manual's temperature range first.
Honest advice
If an older machine isn't worth the repair, we'll tell you so, and explain what actually broke.

How a Wine Cooler Repair Visit Works

01

Describe the Problem

The brand, the model number if it's handy, and what the appliance is doing. A photo of the rating label is a bonus.

02

Diagnosis On Site

The technician tests the appliance and its power, water, drain, gas or vent until the failed part is found.

03

Explanation and Quote

You hear what failed and what the repair costs, then decide. Nothing starts without your OK.

04

Repair and Test

The part goes in, the appliance runs a cycle, and you see that it works before we leave.

What's inside an Avanti wine cooler

Avanti wine coolers come in two very different builds. Thermoelectric models have no compressor; they cool with a Peltier module and fans, run quietly, and can only pull the cabinet so far below room temperature, so a warm room makes them read warm. Compressor models cool much harder and use a digital control with a sensor. On both, fans are the part that fails most often, and the thermoelectric units depend on them entirely. Glass doors fog when the gasket leaks or the cooler sits in a humid basement. We check the cooling type first, because it decides what counts as normal and what counts as broken.

Parts that tend to fail on Avanti wine coolers

  • Thermoelectric module stopped cooling
  • Interior or rear fan failed
  • Temperature sensor giving false reading
  • Door gasket fogging the glass
  • Control board display dead

FAQ

Avanti Wine Cooler: Questions We Hear

Quick answers to what people ask most. If yours isn't here, bring it up on the phone or type it into the notes box when you book.

Something else on your mind?

Reach out with the brand, the symptom and a model number if you have one. Some questions we can answer on the spot; the rest a technician can check in person.

If it is a thermoelectric model in a warm room, it may be working as designed; these coolers can only get a certain amount below room temperature. Check your manual's rated range. A compressor model that can't reach its set point, or a thermoelectric one in a cool room, needs its fans, sensor and cooling system tested.

A little fog in a humid room can be normal. Heavy or constant condensation usually means the door gasket isn't sealing, the cooler isn't level so the door hangs open slightly, or the setting is very cold. We check the seal and leveling first.
