Bosch Washer Repair in Houses, Apartments and Rentals

We have no affiliation with Bosch and are not one of its service centers. A washer still covered by the Bosch warranty belongs with Bosch first. Once it's out of coverage, give us the model number and the symptom when you book so we can look into parts ahead of time.

Basement laundry
In older houses the washer and dryer are often downstairs, past narrow steps and low beams, draining to a laundry tub or floor drain. Tell us how to get down there.
Rowhouses & older homes
New appliances often sit on old wiring, gas lines and vents. We check what feeds the machine as well as the machine.
Hillsides & parking
Steps up to the front door, permit-only blocks, alley entrances. A note about access when you book gets the visit started sooner.
Rentals & landlords
Tenants can book. The owner or manager gets the diagnosis and the price, and approves before any work.
Cold garages & porches
A spare fridge or freezer in an unheated space may stop holding temperature in winter without anything having failed. Check the manual's temperature range first.
Honest advice
If an older machine isn't worth the repair, we'll tell you so, and explain what actually broke.

How a Washer Repair Visit Works

01

Describe the Problem

The brand, the model number if it's handy, and what the appliance is doing. A photo of the rating label is a bonus.

02

Diagnosis On Site

The technician tests the appliance and its power, water, drain, gas or vent until the failed part is found.

03

Explanation and Quote

You hear what failed and what the repair costs, then decide. Nothing starts without your OK.

04

Repair and Test

The part goes in, the appliance runs a cycle, and you see that it works before we leave.

How Bosch builds its washers

The 24-inch Bosch compact washer is the machine that makes laundry possible in a closet, a kitchen corner or a converted apartment. It runs on a standard outlet and fits through doorways where a full-size pair won't. Because the drum is small, overloading stresses the bearings and suspension, and a drain pump clogged with coins or hair pins is the most frequent call. Door locks and door boots wear too. Bosch lists the pump filter behind a small access panel at the lower front, and clearing it solves many drain faults. Older full-size Bosch Nexxt and Vision washers are a different platform, and some of their boards are now hard to find.

Parts that tend to fail on Bosch washers

  • Drain pump filter clogged
  • Door lock not engaging
  • Drum bearings roaring on spin
  • Door boot torn or leaking
  • Control board failing on older Nexxt units

The general washer repair guide covers faults that turn up on every make.

FAQ

Bosch Washer: Questions We Hear

Quick answers to what people ask most. If yours isn't here, bring it up on the phone or type it into the notes box when you book.

Something else on your mind?

Reach out with the brand, the symptom and a model number if you have one. Some questions we can answer on the spot; the rest a technician can check in person.

Pop off the little cover in the bottom corner of the front and unscrew the pump filter, keeping a towel and shallow pan ready for the water. Also check that the drain hose isn't kinked. If it still won't drain, the pump or its wiring gets tested.

It depends on the part. Pumps and door locks are often still sold, but some control boards and motors are discontinued. We check supply for your model before recommending the repair.
