Samsung Washer Repair in Houses, Apartments and Rentals
We have no affiliation with Samsung and are not one of its service centers. A washer still covered by the Samsung warranty belongs with Samsung first. Once it's out of coverage, give us the model number and the symptom when you book so we can look into parts ahead of time.
How a Washer Repair Visit Works
Describe the Problem
The brand, the model number if it's handy, and what the appliance is doing. A photo of the rating label is a bonus.
Diagnosis On Site
The technician tests the appliance and its power, water, drain, gas or vent until the failed part is found.
Explanation and Quote
You hear what failed and what the repair costs, then decide. Nothing starts without your OK.
Repair and Test
The part goes in, the appliance runs a cycle, and you see that it works before we leave.
How Samsung builds its washers
Samsung front-loaders and high-efficiency top-loaders talk through codes: 4C means the machine could not fill correctly, 5C means it could not drain, dC points to an unbalanced load, and dE or dL flags the door or lid lock. Most drain codes trace to a coin, sock or hair tie in the pump filter behind the small lower access door, though a failed pump or a kinked hose gives the same result. Top-loaders with tired suspension rods bang the tub against the cabinet in spin. Front-loaders collect odor in the door boot when they sit closed. In basement laundry, a long run to a laundry tub or a tall standpipe can make a weak pump struggle, so we look at the drain setup as well as the machine.
Parts that tend to fail on Samsung washers
- Drain pump filter clogged (5C)
- Door or lid lock not confirming (dE/dL)
- Suspension rods worn on top-loaders
- Inlet valve not filling (4C)
- Door boot torn or holding mildew

Samsung Washer: Questions We Hear
Quick answers to what people ask most. If yours isn't here, bring it up on the phone or type it into the notes box when you book.
Something else on your mind?
Reach out with the brand, the symptom and a model number if you have one. Some questions we can answer on the spot; the rest a technician can check in person.
Often. Unplug it, put down towels and open the small filter door at the lower front, then drain it slowly through the little hose and clear the filter. If the code comes back with a clean filter, the pump or the drain hose is the next thing we test.
First redistribute the load, especially bulky items like comforters. If it bangs even with a normal load, the suspension rods that hold the tub are likely worn, which is a reasonable repair on most models.
