ASKO Washer Repair in Houses, Apartments and Rentals

We have no affiliation with ASKO and are not one of its service centers. A washer still covered by the ASKO warranty belongs with ASKO first. Once it's out of coverage, give us the model number and the symptom when you book so we can look into parts ahead of time.

Basement laundry
In older houses the washer and dryer are often downstairs, past narrow steps and low beams, draining to a laundry tub or floor drain. Tell us how to get down there.
Rowhouses & older homes
New appliances often sit on old wiring, gas lines and vents. We check what feeds the machine as well as the machine.
Hillsides & parking
Steps up to the front door, permit-only blocks, alley entrances. A note about access when you book gets the visit started sooner.
Rentals & landlords
Tenants can book. The owner or manager gets the diagnosis and the price, and approves before any work.
Cold garages & porches
A spare fridge or freezer in an unheated space may stop holding temperature in winter without anything having failed. Check the manual's temperature range first.
Honest advice
If an older machine isn't worth the repair, we'll tell you so, and explain what actually broke.

How a Washer Repair Visit Works

01

Describe the Problem

The brand, the model number if it's handy, and what the appliance is doing. A photo of the rating label is a bonus.

02

Diagnosis On Site

The technician tests the appliance and its power, water, drain, gas or vent until the failed part is found.

03

Explanation and Quote

You hear what failed and what the repair costs, then decide. Nothing starts without your OK.

04

Repair and Test

The part goes in, the appliance runs a cycle, and you see that it works before we leave.

How ASKO builds its washers

Asko front-loaders are compact but built heavily, with a stainless drum and tub that spin fast for a European-size machine. That speed puts load on the bearings and shock absorbers, and a worn bearing announces itself as a roar during spin. Water leaves through a drain pump behind a small access panel at the bottom front, where coins and hair ties collect. A door lock that won't engage keeps the washer from starting. Stacked installations need a level floor, since vibration travels up to the dryer. In a basement, drain height and the standpipe matter too.

Parts that tend to fail on ASKO washers

  • Drain pump filter blocked
  • Door lock not engaging
  • Drum bearings worn and loud
  • Shock absorbers worn, heavy vibration
  • Door gasket leaking at the bottom

FAQ

ASKO Washer: Questions We Hear

Quick answers to what people ask most. If yours isn't here, bring it up on the phone or type it into the notes box when you book.

Something else on your mind?

Reach out with the brand, the symptom and a model number if you have one. Some questions we can answer on the spot; the rest a technician can check in person.

Open the small panel at the bottom front and clean the drain pump filter, with towels ready for the water. If it still won't drain, the pump or hose may be blocked or failed, and we test it.

Some movement is normal at high speed, but heavy shaking can come from an unlevel floor, missing shipping bolts on a new install, or worn shock absorbers. We check the install and suspension before anything else.
