Blomberg Dryer Repair in Houses, Apartments and Rentals
We have no affiliation with Blomberg and are not one of its service centers. A dryer still covered by the Blomberg warranty belongs with Blomberg first. Once it's out of coverage, give us the model number and the symptom when you book so we can look into parts ahead of time.
How a Dryer Repair Visit Works
Describe the Problem
The brand, the model number if it's handy, and what the appliance is doing. A photo of the rating label is a bonus.
Diagnosis On Site
The technician tests the appliance and its power, water, drain, gas or vent until the failed part is found.
Explanation and Quote
You hear what failed and what the repair costs, then decide. Nothing starts without your OK.
Repair and Test
The part goes in, the appliance runs a cycle, and you see that it works before we leave.
How Blomberg builds its dryers
Most Blomberg dryers sold here are ventless. A condenser dryer heats air with an element, passes it through the clothes, then cools it in a condenser so the moisture drops out as water. A heat-pump dryer does the same job with a small refrigeration system and lower air temperatures. Neither needs an outside vent, which helps in basements and closets where running a duct is hard. The price is maintenance: the lint filter, the condenser or its filter, and the water tank or drain hose all need attention. A dryer that runs but leaves clothes damp almost always has an airflow problem inside the machine. When the water pump fails, the tank-full warning appears repeatedly.
Parts that tend to fail on Blomberg dryers
- Condenser clogged with lint
- Water pump not emptying tank
- Heating element open circuit
- Moisture sensor bars coated
- Drum belt broken
Symptoms that aren't specific to one maker are covered on our dryer repair page.
Blomberg Dryer: Questions We Hear
Quick answers to what people ask most. If yours isn't here, bring it up on the phone or type it into the notes box when you book.
Something else on your mind?
Reach out with the brand, the symptom and a model number if you have one. Some questions we can answer on the spot; the rest a technician can check in person.
First clean the door lint filter and the condenser or its filter, following the manual, since lint there blocks airflow. Ventless dryers also run longer than vented ones by design. If drying stays poor after cleaning, we test the heater or heat pump, the fan and the sensors.
Many models allow the pump outlet to be connected to a drain hose that runs to a standpipe or laundry tub. Check your manual for the kit and the maximum height. If the dryer still reports a full tank after connection, the pump or hose may be blocked.
