Avanti Dryer Repair in Houses, Apartments and Rentals
We have no affiliation with Avanti and are not one of its service centers. A dryer still covered by the Avanti warranty belongs with Avanti first. Once it's out of coverage, give us the model number and the symptom when you book so we can look into parts ahead of time.

What's inside an Avanti dryer
Avanti's compact dryers pair with its front-load washers and are commonly stacked in closets or basements. Because the drum is small and heat output is modest, a slight restriction in the vent makes a large difference in dry time. The lint screen, a crushed foil transition hose behind a stacked pair, or a long vent run to an outside wall are often the real problem when a customer reports that clothes stay damp. When the dryer truly has no heat, we test the heating element, the thermal fuse and the cycling and high-limit thermostats. A squeal or thump points to drum rollers, the belt or the idler. Door switches wear on units opened many times a day.
Parts that tend to fail on Avanti dryers
- Heating element open circuit
- Thermal fuse blown by restriction
- Vent hose crushed behind stack
- Drum belt worn or broken
- Door switch not closing circuit

Avanti Dryer: Questions We Hear
Quick answers to what people ask most. If yours isn't here, bring it up on the phone or type it into the notes box when you book.
Something else on your mind?
Reach out with the brand, the symptom and a model number if you have one. Some questions we can answer on the spot; the rest a technician can check in person.
Often it isn't. Small dryers are sensitive to airflow, so a full lint screen, a crushed hose behind the stack or a long vent run can stretch a load far past its normal time. We check airflow first, and then test the element and thermostats if the air coming out is not hot.
A cycling or high-limit thermostat opening early, usually because hot air can't escape fast enough, is the common reason. Repeated overheating can also blow the thermal fuse. Clearing the vent and replacing any failed safety part fixes it; replacing only the fuse without clearing the cause doesn't.
