LG Oven Repair in Houses, Apartments and Rentals

We have no affiliation with LG and are not one of its service centers. A oven still covered by the LG warranty belongs with LG first. Once it's out of coverage, give us the model number and the symptom when you book so we can look into parts ahead of time.

Basement laundry
In older houses the washer and dryer are often downstairs, past narrow steps and low beams, draining to a laundry tub or floor drain. Tell us how to get down there.
Rowhouses & older homes
New appliances often sit on old wiring, gas lines and vents. We check what feeds the machine as well as the machine.
Hillsides & parking
Steps up to the front door, permit-only blocks, alley entrances. A note about access when you book gets the visit started sooner.
Rentals & landlords
Tenants can book. The owner or manager gets the diagnosis and the price, and approves before any work.
Cold garages & porches
A spare fridge or freezer in an unheated space may stop holding temperature in winter without anything having failed. Check the manual's temperature range first.
Honest advice
If an older machine isn't worth the repair, we'll tell you so, and explain what actually broke.

How an Oven Repair Visit Works

01

Describe the Problem

The brand, the model number if it's handy, and what the appliance is doing. A photo of the rating label is a bonus.

02

Diagnosis On Site

The technician tests the appliance and its power, water, drain, gas or vent until the failed part is found.

03

Explanation and Quote

You hear what failed and what the repair costs, then decide. Nothing starts without your OK.

04

Repair and Test

The part goes in, the appliance runs a cycle, and you see that it works before we leave.

How LG builds its ovens

LG ovens have a few distinctive features. ProBake convection puts the heating element behind the rear fan instead of in the oven floor, so a failure there affects convection baking in particular. EasyClean uses water and a short low-heat cycle instead of a full self-clean, but many models still offer a high-heat clean that stresses the door lock and control. InstaView models let you see inside with two knocks on the glass. Common repairs are the oven sensor, the bake and broil elements, the convection fan and element, and the door lock motor. An oven that heats but runs noticeably off temperature usually has a drifting sensor; we check its resistance before recalibrating anything.

Parts that tend to fail on LG ovens

  • Convection element behind the fan failed
  • Oven sensor drifting out of range
  • Broil element burned through
  • Door lock motor stuck
  • Control board relay failed

The general oven repair guide covers faults that turn up on every make.

FAQ

LG Oven: Questions We Hear

Quick answers to what people ask most. If yours isn't here, bring it up on the phone or type it into the notes box when you book.

Something else on your mind?

Reach out with the brand, the symptom and a model number if you have one. Some questions we can answer on the spot; the rest a technician can check in person.

On ProBake models, the convection element sits behind the rear fan. If the fan runs but the air doesn't heat, that element or its connection is the likely cause. We test both before ordering.

EasyClean is gentler. It uses water and a short heat cycle for light soil. Self-clean runs much hotter, which is harder on the lock, the fuse and the control board. Using EasyClean regularly can reduce how often you need a full clean.
