Thermador Oven Repair in Houses, Apartments and Rentals
We have no affiliation with Thermador and are not one of its service centers. A oven still covered by the Thermador warranty belongs with Thermador first. Once it's out of coverage, give us the model number and the symptom when you book so we can look into parts ahead of time.
How an Oven Repair Visit Works

Diagnosis On Site
The technician tests the appliance and its power, water, drain, gas or vent until the failed part is found.

How Thermador builds its ovens
Thermador wall ovens come in several families: Masterpiece and Professional single and double ovens, combination steam ovens, and speed ovens. The convection systems use a rear fan and element that can fail separately from the bake and broil elements, so an oven that heats but cooks unevenly usually has a convection problem. Self-clean runs very hot, and a door lock motor or switch that fails during or after a clean cycle leaves the door locked or the oven dead. Steam ovens use a water reservoir and generator that need regular descaling. We read any stored fault, test each element and sensor, and verify temperature with our own probe.
Parts that tend to fail on Thermador ovens
- Convection element or fan failed
- Door lock stuck after self-clean
- Bake or broil element burned out
- Temperature sensor drifting
- Steam system scaled or pump failing

Thermador Oven: Questions We Hear
Quick answers to what people ask most. If yours isn't here, bring it up on the phone or type it into the notes box when you book.
Something else on your mind?
Reach out with the brand, the symptom and a model number if you have one. Some questions we can answer on the spot; the rest a technician can check in person.
Let it cool all the way down. Then cut power at the panel, wait about a minute, and restore it. If it still won't unlock, the door lock motor or its switch has probably failed, and we replace that part and test the lock cycle.
In convection modes, uneven results usually mean the convection fan or its element isn't working. We check both, plus the bake element, and confirm the cavity temperature before recommending a part.
