Fisher & Paykel Oven Repair in Houses, Apartments and Rentals
We have no affiliation with Fisher & Paykel and are not one of its service centers. A oven still covered by the Fisher & Paykel warranty belongs with Fisher & Paykel first. Once it's out of coverage, give us the model number and the symptom when you book so we can look into parts ahead of time.
How an Oven Repair Visit Works
Describe the Problem
The brand, the model number if it's handy, and what the appliance is doing. A photo of the rating label is a bonus.
Diagnosis On Site
The technician tests the appliance and its power, water, drain, gas or vent until the failed part is found.
Explanation and Quote
You hear what failed and what the repair costs, then decide. Nothing starts without your OK.
Repair and Test
The part goes in, the appliance runs a cycle, and you see that it works before we leave.
How Fisher & Paykel builds its ovens
Fisher & Paykel wall ovens run on electronic controls with several heating elements and a rear fan, and many clean themselves pyrolytically: the empty cavity is heated far past cooking temperature to burn soil to ash, while a motorized latch holds the door shut. That cycle is hard on the oven. Elements, the door lock motor and its switch, the cooling fan that protects the electronics and the temperature sensor are the parts most likely to quit during or just after it. Combination steam ovens add a water tank, a pump and a steam generator, all of which collect scale and need descaling as the manual directs. When an oven shows an error and won't heat, we check what the control logged before any part comes out.
Parts that tend to fail on Fisher & Paykel ovens
- Door lock stuck after self-clean
- Cooling fan motor failed
- Bake or convection element open
- Oven temperature sensor fault
- Steam system scaled or pump failing
Symptoms that aren't specific to one maker are covered on our oven repair page.

Something else on your mind?
Reach out with the brand, the symptom and a model number if you have one. Some questions we can answer on the spot; the rest a technician can check in person.
Let the oven cool completely, then cut its breaker, wait a minute, then restore power. That clears a stuck cycle in many cases. If the door still won't release, the lock motor or its switch has probably failed, and it can be replaced without damaging the door.
Yes. Minerals in the water scale the steam system, and many models prompt for descaling. Following the manual's routine and the recommended water keeps the pump and generator healthy. A pump that has already failed, or a generator badly scaled, needs a repair.
