Maytag Oven Repair in Houses, Apartments and Rentals
We have no affiliation with Maytag and are not one of its service centers. A oven still covered by the Maytag warranty belongs with Maytag first. Once it's out of coverage, give us the model number and the symptom when you book so we can look into parts ahead of time.

Repair and Test
The part goes in, the appliance runs a cycle, and you see that it works before we leave.
How Maytag builds its ovens
Maytag wall ovens share Whirlpool's parts family, which helps with supply, though the control panels and trim pieces are Maytag-specific. A single or double wall oven comes out of the cabinet onto a support to reach the back panel and wiring. The frequent failures are a hidden bake element that has burned open, a broil element with a broken spot, an oven temperature sensor that reads wrong and makes the oven run hot or cold, and a convection fan motor that seizes. After a self-clean cycle, a door lock can stay latched or a control board can fail from the heat. With a double oven, the working cavity often keeps running while the other is repaired.
Parts that tend to fail on Maytag ovens
- Hidden bake element burned open
- Oven temperature sensor reading wrong
- Door lock stuck closed after self-clean
- Convection fan motor seized
- Control board failure after a clean cycle

Maytag Oven: Questions We Hear
Quick answers to what people ask most. If yours isn't here, bring it up on the phone or type it into the notes box when you book.
Something else on your mind?
Reach out with the brand, the symptom and a model number if you have one. Some questions we can answer on the spot; the rest a technician can check in person.
Probably not. Self-clean runs very hot, and it is a common time for a thermal fuse, the door lock or a control board to fail. We test each one; the fix is often a single part.
For some repairs. Element and sensor work is often done from inside the cavity. Control boards, wiring and door locks can mean sliding the oven forward, which we do carefully to protect the cabinets.
