Electrolux Oven Repair in Houses, Apartments and Rentals

We have no affiliation with Electrolux and are not one of its service centers. A oven still covered by the Electrolux warranty belongs with Electrolux first. Once it's out of coverage, give us the model number and the symptom when you book so we can look into parts ahead of time.

Basement laundry
In older houses the washer and dryer are often downstairs, past narrow steps and low beams, draining to a laundry tub or floor drain. Tell us how to get down there.
Rowhouses & older homes
New appliances often sit on old wiring, gas lines and vents. We check what feeds the machine as well as the machine.
Hillsides & parking
Steps up to the front door, permit-only blocks, alley entrances. A note about access when you book gets the visit started sooner.
Rentals & landlords
Tenants can book. The owner or manager gets the diagnosis and the price, and approves before any work.
Cold garages & porches
A spare fridge or freezer in an unheated space may stop holding temperature in winter without anything having failed. Check the manual's temperature range first.
Honest advice
If an older machine isn't worth the repair, we'll tell you so, and explain what actually broke.

How an Oven Repair Visit Works

01

Describe the Problem

The brand, the model number if it's handy, and what the appliance is doing. A photo of the rating label is a bonus.

02

Diagnosis On Site

The technician tests the appliance and its power, water, drain, gas or vent until the failed part is found.

03

Explanation and Quote

You hear what failed and what the repair costs, then decide. Nothing starts without your OK.

04

Repair and Test

The part goes in, the appliance runs a cycle, and you see that it works before we leave.

How Electrolux builds its ovens

Electrolux wall ovens come as single units, double units and wall oven combinations with a microwave on top. They use a concealed bake element, broil element and convection fan with a third element, all controlled by an electronic board reading a temperature sensor. Convection problems show up as uneven baking or long preheat. Self-clean and door-lock faults are common with age, and a failed lock can keep the door shut or stop the oven from heating. On combination units, the microwave section adds door switches and a magnetron. We check each element and fan and verify temperature with our own thermometer.

Parts that tend to fail on Electrolux ovens

  • Convection fan motor failing
  • Bake element burned out
  • Temperature sensor drifting
  • Door lock stuck after self-clean
  • Control board relay failing

Symptoms that aren't specific to one maker are covered on our oven repair page.

FAQ

Electrolux Oven: Questions We Hear

Quick answers to what people ask most. If yours isn't here, bring it up on the phone or type it into the notes box when you book.

Something else on your mind?

Reach out with the brand, the symptom and a model number if you have one. Some questions we can answer on the spot; the rest a technician can check in person.

A weak or failed bake element or convection element slows preheat, and a sensor that reads wrong can confuse the control. We measure each element and the sensor before deciding what to replace.

Yes. The microwave and oven sections are separate systems. We diagnose the microwave's door switches, magnetron and control without disturbing the oven below.
