DCS range repair
DCS Range Repair in Pittsburgh
DCS ranges fixed at home across Pittsburgh and nearby boroughs. Professional-style all-gas and dual-fuel ranges in 30- to 48-inch widths. Reignition faults, oven igniters, sensors or thermostats and hinge wear are the common findings.
Prefer to type? Put the DCS range's model number in the form, and we can look up parts ahead of time.
Two quick steps: what's wrong and where you are. We'll be in touch to set a time.
DCS Range Repair in Houses, Apartments and Rentals
We have no affiliation with DCS and are not one of its service centers. A range still covered by the DCS warranty belongs with DCS first. Once it's out of coverage, give us the model number and the symptom when you book so we can look into parts ahead of time.
How a Range Repair Visit Works
Describe the Problem
The brand, the model number if it's handy, and what the appliance is doing. A photo of the rating label is a bonus.
Diagnosis On Site
The technician tests the appliance and its power, water, drain, gas or vent until the failed part is found.
Explanation and Quote
You hear what failed and what the repair costs, then decide. Nothing starts without your OK.
Repair and Test
The part goes in, the appliance runs a cycle, and you see that it works before we leave.
How DCS builds its ranges
DCS professional ranges came in widths up to 48 inches, and the wider ones may carry two ovens, a grill or griddle, and either all-gas or dual-fuel construction. Which version you own changes everything about an oven fault. On a dual-fuel model the top is gas with spark ignition, while the ovens are electric with bake and broil elements, convection and an electronic control, so a cold oven there is an electrical fault rather than an ignition one. On all-gas models each oven has its own igniter and safety valve. The high-output burners also need a properly sized gas supply; flames that shrink when several burners run together can point to the supply line or regulator rather than the range.
Parts that tend to fail on DCS ranges
- Oven igniter or bake element failed
- Reignition sparking continuously
- Flames weak with several burners on
- Convection fan motor fault
- Oven control or sensor failure

DCS Range: Questions We Hear
Quick answers to what people ask most. If yours isn't here, bring it up on the phone or type it into the notes box when you book.
Something else on your mind?
Reach out with the brand, the symptom and a model number if you have one. Some questions we can answer on the spot; the rest a technician can check in person.
The model number on the rating label settles it. A quick look inside the oven also helps: an electric oven has exposed elements at the top and often a fan at the back, while an all-gas oven lights with a burner under the floor. Share the model number when you book so we can prepare for the right one.
Not necessarily. Large professional burners use a lot of gas, and an undersized line or a regulator problem shows up when several run at once. We check the burners and orifices first, then the supply. If the supply is short, that's a job for a licensed plumber or your gas utility, and we'll explain what we found.
