Kenmore Range Repair in Houses, Apartments and Rentals

We have no affiliation with Kenmore and are not one of its service centers. A range still covered by the Kenmore warranty belongs with Kenmore first. Once it's out of coverage, give us the model number and the symptom when you book so we can look into parts ahead of time.

Basement laundry
In older houses the washer and dryer are often downstairs, past narrow steps and low beams, draining to a laundry tub or floor drain. Tell us how to get down there.
Rowhouses & older homes
New appliances often sit on old wiring, gas lines and vents. We check what feeds the machine as well as the machine.
Hillsides & parking
Steps up to the front door, permit-only blocks, alley entrances. A note about access when you book gets the visit started sooner.
Rentals & landlords
Tenants can book. The owner or manager gets the diagnosis and the price, and approves before any work.
Cold garages & porches
A spare fridge or freezer in an unheated space may stop holding temperature in winter without anything having failed. Check the manual's temperature range first.
Honest advice
If an older machine isn't worth the repair, we'll tell you so, and explain what actually broke.

How a Range Repair Visit Works

01

Describe the Problem

The brand, the model number if it's handy, and what the appliance is doing. A photo of the rating label is a bonus.

02

Diagnosis On Site

The technician tests the appliance and its power, water, drain, gas or vent until the failed part is found.

03

Explanation and Quote

You hear what failed and what the repair costs, then decide. Nothing starts without your OK.

04

Repair and Test

The part goes in, the appliance runs a cycle, and you see that it works before we leave.

What's inside a Kenmore range

Newer Kenmore ranges include slide-in and front-control models with convection, touch controls and sometimes air-fry modes. Those features add parts: a convection fan and element, an electronic control, a touchpad, and relays on the board. Common repairs include a convection fan motor that grinds or stops, a touchpad that stops responding, an oven sensor that drifts, and a control board relay that fails. On gas ranges, the oven igniter is still the most frequent part to fail. Because different factories have built Kenmore ranges, the model prefix tells us which parts and procedures apply before we order anything.

Parts that tend to fail on Kenmore ranges

  • Convection fan motor stopped
  • Touchpad not responding
  • Oven sensor drifting
  • Control board relay failing
  • Gas oven igniter weak

FAQ

Kenmore Range: Questions We Hear

Quick answers to what people ask most. If yours isn't here, bring it up on the phone or type it into the notes box when you book.

Something else on your mind?

Reach out with the brand, the symptom and a model number if you have one. Some questions we can answer on the spot; the rest a technician can check in person.

Yes. A worn convection fan motor or a loose fan blade is the usual cause. We check the fan and motor, then replace the part that is failing.

It can be the touchpad or the control board. We test the touchpad's connection and function first, then the board, so only the failed part is replaced.
