KitchenAid Range Repair in Houses, Apartments and Rentals
We have no affiliation with KitchenAid and are not one of its service centers. A range still covered by the KitchenAid warranty belongs with KitchenAid first. Once it's out of coverage, give us the model number and the symptom when you book so we can look into parts ahead of time.
How a Range Repair Visit Works
Describe the Problem
The brand, the model number if it's handy, and what the appliance is doing. A photo of the rating label is a bonus.
Diagnosis On Site
The technician tests the appliance and its power, water, drain, gas or vent until the failed part is found.
Explanation and Quote
You hear what failed and what the repair costs, then decide. Nothing starts without your OK.
Repair and Test
The part goes in, the appliance runs a cycle, and you see that it works before we leave.
How KitchenAid builds its ranges
KitchenAid's slide-in and commercial-style dual-fuel ranges are where most of its cooking repairs happen. Dual-fuel models have sealed gas burners with spark ignition on top and an electric Even-Heat convection oven below, so the oven's element, fan and sensor are electric faults while the burners are gas faults. The larger commercial-style ranges are heavy and sit on adjustable legs, so moving them needs protection for the floor and the gas line. Touch controls and boards on slide-ins sit near the heat and can fail. Door locks sometimes stay latched after self-clean, and a convection oven that heats unevenly usually has a failed element or fan.
Parts that tend to fail on KitchenAid ranges
- Burner not sparking or lighting
- Convection element or fan failed
- Touch control panel unresponsive
- Oven sensor reading off
- Door lock stuck after self-clean

KitchenAid Range: Questions We Hear
Quick answers to what people ask most. If yours isn't here, bring it up on the phone or type it into the notes box when you book.
Something else on your mind?
Reach out with the brand, the symptom and a model number if you have one. Some questions we can answer on the spot; the rest a technician can check in person.
Gas only feeds the cooktop on a dual-fuel range; the oven below runs on electricity. Check the breaker for the oven circuit. If power is present, we test the elements, sensor and controls.
They're heavy. We protect the floor and cabinets and take care with the gas connection. Many repairs are done without moving the range fully.
