Bertazzoni Range Repair in Houses, Apartments and Rentals

We have no affiliation with Bertazzoni and are not one of its service centers. A range still covered by the Bertazzoni warranty belongs with Bertazzoni first. Once it's out of coverage, give us the model number and the symptom when you book so we can look into parts ahead of time.

Basement laundry
In older houses the washer and dryer are often downstairs, past narrow steps and low beams, draining to a laundry tub or floor drain. Tell us how to get down there.
Rowhouses & older homes
New appliances often sit on old wiring, gas lines and vents. We check what feeds the machine as well as the machine.
Hillsides & parking
Steps up to the front door, permit-only blocks, alley entrances. A note about access when you book gets the visit started sooner.
Rentals & landlords
Tenants can book. The owner or manager gets the diagnosis and the price, and approves before any work.
Cold garages & porches
A spare fridge or freezer in an unheated space may stop holding temperature in winter without anything having failed. Check the manual's temperature range first.
Honest advice
If an older machine isn't worth the repair, we'll tell you so, and explain what actually broke.

How a Range Repair Visit Works

01

Describe the Problem

The brand, the model number if it's handy, and what the appliance is doing. A photo of the rating label is a bonus.

02

Diagnosis On Site

The technician tests the appliance and its power, water, drain, gas or vent until the failed part is found.

03

Explanation and Quote

You hear what failed and what the repair costs, then decide. Nothing starts without your OK.

04

Repair and Test

The part goes in, the appliance runs a cycle, and you see that it works before we leave.

How Bertazzoni builds its ranges

Bertazzoni sells its ranges in gas, dual-fuel, electric and induction versions, and in widths from 24 to 48 inches, some with two ovens or a griddle. The fuel type decides where the oven faults live. An all-gas range has a gas oven with its own safety device and ignition, and sometimes an electric broiler. A dual-fuel range has gas burners on top and an electric multifunction oven below, needing a 240-volt circuit as well as gas. Induction models drop gas entirely. These ranges are heavy enamel-and-steel units, and older city kitchens often have uneven floors, so leveling and the anti-tip bracket are checked whenever we move one.

Parts that tend to fail on Bertazzoni ranges

  • Thermocouple failing on top burner
  • Oven igniter or spark not lighting
  • Dual-fuel bake element open
  • Convection fan motor seized
  • Griddle burner not holding flame

FAQ

Bertazzoni Range: Questions We Hear

Quick answers to what people ask most. If yours isn't here, bring it up on the phone or type it into the notes box when you book.

Something else on your mind?

Reach out with the brand, the symptom and a model number if you have one. Some questions we can answer on the spot; the rest a technician can check in person.

The burners on top run on gas and the oven is electric. That means the range needs both a gas line and a 240-volt circuit. When the burners work and the oven doesn't heat, we look at the electric side: elements, fan, selector and control.

Not for most jobs. Burners, thermocouples, knobs and most oven parts are reached from the top or through the oven. Pulling it out is needed for rear connections and some wiring. When we do, we protect the floor and put the anti-tip bracket back.
