Frigidaire Stove Repair in Houses, Apartments and Rentals

We have no affiliation with Frigidaire and are not one of its service centers. A stove still covered by the Frigidaire warranty belongs with Frigidaire first. Once it's out of coverage, give us the model number and the symptom when you book so we can look into parts ahead of time.

Basement laundry
In older houses the washer and dryer are often downstairs, past narrow steps and low beams, draining to a laundry tub or floor drain. Tell us how to get down there.
Rowhouses & older homes
New appliances often sit on old wiring, gas lines and vents. We check what feeds the machine as well as the machine.
Hillsides & parking
Steps up to the front door, permit-only blocks, alley entrances. A note about access when you book gets the visit started sooner.
Rentals & landlords
Tenants can book. The owner or manager gets the diagnosis and the price, and approves before any work.
Cold garages & porches
A spare fridge or freezer in an unheated space may stop holding temperature in winter without anything having failed. Check the manual's temperature range first.
Honest advice
If an older machine isn't worth the repair, we'll tell you so, and explain what actually broke.

How a Stove Repair Visit Works

01

Describe the Problem

The brand, the model number if it's handy, and what the appliance is doing. A photo of the rating label is a bonus.

02

Diagnosis On Site

The technician tests the appliance and its power, water, drain, gas or vent until the failed part is found.

03

Explanation and Quote

You hear what failed and what the repair costs, then decide. Nothing starts without your OK.

04

Repair and Test

The part goes in, the appliance runs a cycle, and you see that it works before we leave.

How Frigidaire builds its stoves

The freestanding Frigidaire stove with rear controls is a staple of rentals and older homes. On gas models, a weak hot-surface igniter is the usual reason the oven won't heat, because the igniter must draw enough current to open the valve. Electric coil-top models lose bake elements, and a coil that works intermittently often has a burned receptacle. Glass-top models use radiant elements and infinite switches. In older houses, the range outlet or wiring can be worn, so a stove that loses power or runs one burner weakly gets its supply checked. The anti-tip bracket should be in place when it goes back in.

Parts that tend to fail on Frigidaire stoves

  • Oven igniter too weak
  • Bake element burned out
  • Coil receptacle burned
  • Infinite switch failing
  • Surface burner spark switch stuck

FAQ

Frigidaire Stove: Questions We Hear

Quick answers to what people ask most. If yours isn't here, bring it up on the phone or type it into the notes box when you book.

Something else on your mind?

Reach out with the brand, the symptom and a model number if you have one. Some questions we can answer on the spot; the rest a technician can check in person.

Yes. That's usually a failed infinite switch. We test the switch and replace it.

Likely. The igniter weakens over time and takes longer to open the valve. We read its amperage with a meter and swap it if the reading is low.
