Blomberg Dishwasher Repair in Houses, Apartments and Rentals

We have no affiliation with Blomberg and are not one of its service centers. A dishwasher still covered by the Blomberg warranty belongs with Blomberg first. Once it's out of coverage, give us the model number and the symptom when you book so we can look into parts ahead of time.

Basement laundry
In older houses the washer and dryer are often downstairs, past narrow steps and low beams, draining to a laundry tub or floor drain. Tell us how to get down there.
Rowhouses & older homes
New appliances often sit on old wiring, gas lines and vents. We check what feeds the machine as well as the machine.
Hillsides & parking
Steps up to the front door, permit-only blocks, alley entrances. A note about access when you book gets the visit started sooner.
Rentals & landlords
Tenants can book. The owner or manager gets the diagnosis and the price, and approves before any work.
Cold garages & porches
A spare fridge or freezer in an unheated space may stop holding temperature in winter without anything having failed. Check the manual's temperature range first.
Honest advice
If an older machine isn't worth the repair, we'll tell you so, and explain what actually broke.

How a Dishwasher Repair Visit Works

01

Describe the Problem

The brand, the model number if it's handy, and what the appliance is doing. A photo of the rating label is a bonus.

02

Diagnosis On Site

The technician tests the appliance and its power, water, drain, gas or vent until the failed part is found.

03

Explanation and Quote

You hear what failed and what the repair costs, then decide. Nothing starts without your OK.

04

Repair and Test

The part goes in, the appliance runs a cycle, and you see that it works before we leave.

How Blomberg builds its dishwashers

The 24-inch dishwasher is Blomberg's most familiar product in the U.S., known for low noise and a top rack for cutlery. Its design is European: a coarse and fine filter assembly in the tub floor that the owner removes and rinses, a circulation pump with an integrated heater, a separate drain pump, and a base pan with a float that stops the machine if it senses water. Most performance complaints begin with a neglected filter. Most leak complaints begin with the door seal, a sump gasket or the inlet hose, and they show up as the float tripping. Panel-ready models need their hinge tension matched to the weight of the cabinet door.

Parts that tend to fail on Blomberg dishwashers

  • Filter assembly clogged with food
  • Float switch tripped by leak
  • Circulation pump heater failed
  • Drain pump jammed by debris
  • Door not staying up on panel models

FAQ

Blomberg Dishwasher: Questions We Hear

Quick answers to what people ask most. If yours isn't here, bring it up on the phone or type it into the notes box when you book.

Something else on your mind?

Reach out with the brand, the symptom and a model number if you have one. Some questions we can answer on the spot; the rest a technician can check in person.

The filter in the tub floor is probably loaded with debris, so dirty water recirculates. Twist it out, rinse it under the tap, and check the spray arm holes. If it still washes poorly after cleaning, we test the circulation pump and the water fill level.

The base float has detected water in the pan and the machine is pumping out to protect the floor. The leak itself may be small, like a worn door seal or a loose hose. We trace it, fix it, and dry the pan so the float resets.
