Frigidaire Dishwasher Repair in Houses, Apartments and Rentals

We have no affiliation with Frigidaire and are not one of its service centers. A dishwasher still covered by the Frigidaire warranty belongs with Frigidaire first. Once it's out of coverage, give us the model number and the symptom when you book so we can look into parts ahead of time.

Basement laundry
In older houses the washer and dryer are often downstairs, past narrow steps and low beams, draining to a laundry tub or floor drain. Tell us how to get down there.
Rowhouses & older homes
New appliances often sit on old wiring, gas lines and vents. We check what feeds the machine as well as the machine.
Hillsides & parking
Steps up to the front door, permit-only blocks, alley entrances. A note about access when you book gets the visit started sooner.
Rentals & landlords
Tenants can book. The owner or manager gets the diagnosis and the price, and approves before any work.
Cold garages & porches
A spare fridge or freezer in an unheated space may stop holding temperature in winter without anything having failed. Check the manual's temperature range first.
Honest advice
If an older machine isn't worth the repair, we'll tell you so, and explain what actually broke.

How a Dishwasher Repair Visit Works

01

Describe the Problem

The brand, the model number if it's handy, and what the appliance is doing. A photo of the rating label is a bonus.

02

Diagnosis On Site

The technician tests the appliance and its power, water, drain, gas or vent until the failed part is found.

03

Explanation and Quote

You hear what failed and what the repair costs, then decide. Nothing starts without your OK.

04

Repair and Test

The part goes in, the appliance runs a cycle, and you see that it works before we leave.

How Frigidaire builds its dishwashers

Frigidaire and Frigidaire Gallery dishwashers are simple, affordable machines, and most repairs are to the parts that move water. A drain pump that jams on glass or debris leaves water in the tub. An inlet valve that fails or clogs from mineral scale keeps the tub from filling properly. The door latch and switch must close before the cycle runs, and a worn latch is common. Newer models use a removable filter that needs regular cleaning, and a clogged filter causes poor washing. A circulation motor that hums without spraying may be seized. Control boards fail on some models, and we test the inputs first.

Parts that tend to fail on Frigidaire dishwashers

  • Drain pump jammed on debris
  • Inlet valve clogged or failed
  • Door latch not closing
  • Circulation motor seized
  • Filter clogged

Symptoms that aren't specific to one maker are covered on our dishwasher repair page.

FAQ

Frigidaire Dishwasher: Questions We Hear

Quick answers to what people ask most. If yours isn't here, bring it up on the phone or type it into the notes box when you book.

Something else on your mind?

Reach out with the brand, the symptom and a model number if you have one. Some questions we can answer on the spot; the rest a technician can check in person.

The circulation motor may be seized or jammed. It can also be a control issue. We test the motor and its supply to find the cause.

Check the filter and drain hose first. A clog can block the drain. With both clear, we move on and test the pump.
