Samsung Dishwasher Repair in Houses, Apartments and Rentals

We have no affiliation with Samsung and are not one of its service centers. A dishwasher still covered by the Samsung warranty belongs with Samsung first. Once it's out of coverage, give us the model number and the symptom when you book so we can look into parts ahead of time.

Basement laundry
In older houses the washer and dryer are often downstairs, past narrow steps and low beams, draining to a laundry tub or floor drain. Tell us how to get down there.
Rowhouses & older homes
New appliances often sit on old wiring, gas lines and vents. We check what feeds the machine as well as the machine.
Hillsides & parking
Steps up to the front door, permit-only blocks, alley entrances. A note about access when you book gets the visit started sooner.
Rentals & landlords
Tenants can book. The owner or manager gets the diagnosis and the price, and approves before any work.
Cold garages & porches
A spare fridge or freezer in an unheated space may stop holding temperature in winter without anything having failed. Check the manual's temperature range first.
Honest advice
If an older machine isn't worth the repair, we'll tell you so, and explain what actually broke.

How a Dishwasher Repair Visit Works

01

Describe the Problem

The brand, the model number if it's handy, and what the appliance is doing. A photo of the rating label is a bonus.

02

Diagnosis On Site

The technician tests the appliance and its power, water, drain, gas or vent until the failed part is found.

03

Explanation and Quote

You hear what failed and what the repair costs, then decide. Nothing starts without your OK.

04

Repair and Test

The part goes in, the appliance runs a cycle, and you see that it works before we leave.

How Samsung builds its dishwashers

Samsung dishwashers use a leak sensor in the base pan, and when water reaches it the machine stops and shows LC, often running the drain pump nonstop. The leak can come from a door gasket, the sump, a spray arm seal or a failed inlet fitting, so we trace the water rather than just drying the sensor. WaterWall models use a moving spray bar at the back that can jam on a lodged utensil or a broken drive. Some Samsung dishwashers also have a known weak spot at the door hinges: the springs or cables fail and the door drops open hard. Heater faults show as dishes that stay wet and cold. Slow drains usually start at the filter, and cleaning it regularly avoids a lot of calls.

Parts that tend to fail on Samsung dishwashers

  • Leak sensor tripped (LC) by a seal leak
  • Door hinge cable or spring broken
  • WaterWall spray bar jammed
  • Drain pump or filter clogged
  • Heater or thermistor fault, dishes stay wet

Symptoms that aren't specific to one maker are covered on our dishwasher repair page.

FAQ

Samsung Dishwasher: Questions We Hear

Quick answers to what people ask most. If yours isn't here, bring it up on the phone or type it into the notes box when you book.

Something else on your mind?

Reach out with the brand, the symptom and a model number if you have one. Some questions we can answer on the spot; the rest a technician can check in person.

The leak sensor in the base is wet. Turn the dishwasher off and look under the front for water. Too much detergent or suds can trigger it, but so can a real leak. Once the pan is dry we find the source and fix it so the code doesn't return.

Yes. The hinge springs or cables on each side are replaceable parts. We check both sides and the hinge brackets, since if one side has gone, the other often isn't far behind.
