Electrolux Dishwasher Repair in Houses, Apartments and Rentals

We have no affiliation with Electrolux and are not one of its service centers. A dishwasher still covered by the Electrolux warranty belongs with Electrolux first. Once it's out of coverage, give us the model number and the symptom when you book so we can look into parts ahead of time.

Basement laundry
In older houses the washer and dryer are often downstairs, past narrow steps and low beams, draining to a laundry tub or floor drain. Tell us how to get down there.
Rowhouses & older homes
New appliances often sit on old wiring, gas lines and vents. We check what feeds the machine as well as the machine.
Hillsides & parking
Steps up to the front door, permit-only blocks, alley entrances. A note about access when you book gets the visit started sooner.
Rentals & landlords
Tenants can book. The owner or manager gets the diagnosis and the price, and approves before any work.
Cold garages & porches
A spare fridge or freezer in an unheated space may stop holding temperature in winter without anything having failed. Check the manual's temperature range first.
Honest advice
If an older machine isn't worth the repair, we'll tell you so, and explain what actually broke.

How a Dishwasher Repair Visit Works

01

Describe the Problem

The brand, the model number if it's handy, and what the appliance is doing. A photo of the rating label is a bonus.

02

Diagnosis On Site

The technician tests the appliance and its power, water, drain, gas or vent until the failed part is found.

03

Explanation and Quote

You hear what failed and what the repair costs, then decide. Nothing starts without your OK.

04

Repair and Test

The part goes in, the appliance runs a cycle, and you see that it works before we leave.

How Electrolux builds its dishwashers

Electrolux dishwashers share much of their mechanical design with Frigidaire's upper models: a wash motor and a separate drain pump under the tub, a filter assembly at the bottom, a heating element or inline heater, and a float switch that shuts off filling when water rises too far. Many faults come from the drain path: food caught at the pump, a clogged filter or a garbage disposal knockout that wasn't removed. A worn latch keeps the control from ever beginning a cycle. Controls can fail after a leak reaches them. We clean and test the drain side before recommending a board or motor.

Parts that tend to fail on Electrolux dishwashers

  • Drain pump blocked with debris
  • Filter clogged under lower arm
  • Float switch stuck up
  • Door latch not engaging
  • Wash motor not starting

FAQ

Electrolux Dishwasher: Questions We Hear

Quick answers to what people ask most. If yours isn't here, bring it up on the phone or type it into the notes box when you book.

Something else on your mind?

Reach out with the brand, the symptom and a model number if you have one. Some questions we can answer on the spot; the rest a technician can check in person.

Pull the filter out from under the lower spray arm and rinse it, then look along the drain hose for a kink. If it connects to a garbage disposal, run the disposal. If water remains, the drain pump or its impeller may be blocked, which we can clear or replace.

The door latch has to confirm the door is shut. A worn latch or switch will light the panel but prevent the cycle. We test the latch and switch, then the control.
