ASKO Dishwasher Repair in Houses, Apartments and Rentals

We have no affiliation with ASKO and are not one of its service centers. A dishwasher still covered by the ASKO warranty belongs with ASKO first. Once it's out of coverage, give us the model number and the symptom when you book so we can look into parts ahead of time.

Basement laundry
In older houses the washer and dryer are often downstairs, past narrow steps and low beams, draining to a laundry tub or floor drain. Tell us how to get down there.
Rowhouses & older homes
New appliances often sit on old wiring, gas lines and vents. We check what feeds the machine as well as the machine.
Hillsides & parking
Steps up to the front door, permit-only blocks, alley entrances. A note about access when you book gets the visit started sooner.
Rentals & landlords
Tenants can book. The owner or manager gets the diagnosis and the price, and approves before any work.
Cold garages & porches
A spare fridge or freezer in an unheated space may stop holding temperature in winter without anything having failed. Check the manual's temperature range first.
Honest advice
If an older machine isn't worth the repair, we'll tell you so, and explain what actually broke.

How a Dishwasher Repair Visit Works

01

Describe the Problem

The brand, the model number if it's handy, and what the appliance is doing. A photo of the rating label is a bonus.

02

Diagnosis On Site

The technician tests the appliance and its power, water, drain, gas or vent until the failed part is found.

03

Explanation and Quote

You hear what failed and what the repair costs, then decide. Nothing starts without your OK.

04

Repair and Test

The part goes in, the appliance runs a cycle, and you see that it works before we leave.

How ASKO builds its dishwashers

Asko dishwashers have stainless steel tubs and inner doors, a flow-through heater and a base pan with a leak sensor. When water reaches that base pan, a float trips and the machine locks out and runs the drain pump, which surprises many owners. The leak can come from a hose, a seal, the tub or even oversudsing from the wrong detergent. Other common faults are blocked filters, a failing drain pump, a circulation pump that hums, a heater that no longer heats and door springs that let the door drop. Because installation matters, we also check the drain loop and level before blaming a part.

Parts that tend to fail on ASKO dishwashers

  • Leak sensor tripped by water in base
  • Drain pump failing
  • Circulation pump humming, not washing
  • Heater not warming water
  • Door springs or cables worn

FAQ

ASKO Dishwasher: Questions We Hear

Quick answers to what people ask most. If yours isn't here, bring it up on the phone or type it into the notes box when you book.

Something else on your mind?

Reach out with the brand, the symptom and a model number if you have one. Some questions we can answer on the spot; the rest a technician can check in person.

Water has reached the base pan and lifted the leak float. We find the source, which may be a hose, seal or oversudsing, then dry the base so the float resets. Clearing the warning without fixing the leak only brings it back.

Stainless tubs and condensation drying leave plastics damper than glass or china. Rinse aid helps a great deal. If everything is wet, the heater or control may have a fault, and we test it.
