Bosch Dishwasher Repair in Houses, Apartments and Rentals

We have no affiliation with Bosch and are not one of its service centers. A dishwasher still covered by the Bosch warranty belongs with Bosch first. Once it's out of coverage, give us the model number and the symptom when you book so we can look into parts ahead of time.

Basement laundry
In older houses the washer and dryer are often downstairs, past narrow steps and low beams, draining to a laundry tub or floor drain. Tell us how to get down there.
Rowhouses & older homes
New appliances often sit on old wiring, gas lines and vents. We check what feeds the machine as well as the machine.
Hillsides & parking
Steps up to the front door, permit-only blocks, alley entrances. A note about access when you book gets the visit started sooner.
Rentals & landlords
Tenants can book. The owner or manager gets the diagnosis and the price, and approves before any work.
Cold garages & porches
A spare fridge or freezer in an unheated space may stop holding temperature in winter without anything having failed. Check the manual's temperature range first.
Honest advice
If an older machine isn't worth the repair, we'll tell you so, and explain what actually broke.

How a Dishwasher Repair Visit Works

01

Describe the Problem

The brand, the model number if it's handy, and what the appliance is doing. A photo of the rating label is a bonus.

02

Diagnosis On Site

The technician tests the appliance and its power, water, drain, gas or vent until the failed part is found.

03

Explanation and Quote

You hear what failed and what the repair costs, then decide. Nothing starts without your OK.

04

Repair and Test

The part goes in, the appliance runs a cycle, and you see that it works before we leave.

How Bosch builds its dishwashers

Bosch dishwashers report problems with E codes, and a few come up constantly. E15 tells you water has collected in the base pan and floated the AquaStop switch, so the unit stops and runs the drain pump; the real task is finding the leak. E24 and E25 point to drain trouble, usually a kinked hose, a blocked filter or something caught under the pump cover. On many models the circulation pump includes the water heater, and a fault in that assembly can trigger E09. Doors that drop open usually have broken hinge cables. Drying relies on condensation or CrystalDry, so good rinse aid use matters. Mineral scale from tap water also dulls glasses and clogs spray arms over time.

Parts that tend to fail on Bosch dishwashers

  • E15 leak in the base pan
  • E24 or E25 drain blockage
  • Circulation pump heater failed
  • Door hinge cable snapped
  • Door latch or switch not engaging

FAQ

Bosch Dishwasher: Questions We Hear

Quick answers to what people ask most. If yours isn't here, bring it up on the phone or type it into the notes box when you book.

Something else on your mind?

Reach out with the brand, the symptom and a model number if you have one. Some questions we can answer on the spot; the rest a technician can check in person.

Drying the base pan will clear the code for a while, but the leak that caused it will return. Common sources are a worn door seal, the heater pump or a loose hose. We find the leak before resetting the machine.

It's usually the hinge cable or spring on one side. They wear, fray and snap over time. We replace both sides as needed so the door balances properly.
