Fisher & Paykel Dishwasher Repair in Houses, Apartments and Rentals
We have no affiliation with Fisher & Paykel and are not one of its service centers. A dishwasher still covered by the Fisher & Paykel warranty belongs with Fisher & Paykel first. Once it's out of coverage, give us the model number and the symptom when you book so we can look into parts ahead of time.
How a Dishwasher Repair Visit Works
Describe the Problem
The brand, the model number if it's handy, and what the appliance is doing. A photo of the rating label is a bonus.
Diagnosis On Site
The technician tests the appliance and its power, water, drain, gas or vent until the failed part is found.
Explanation and Quote
You hear what failed and what the repair costs, then decide. Nothing starts without your OK.
Repair and Test
The part goes in, the appliance runs a cycle, and you see that it works before we leave.
How Fisher & Paykel builds its dishwashers
A DishDrawer isn't a shrunken conventional dishwasher. Each drawer carries its own wash pump, drain pump, heater and electronics, and when a cycle starts a motorized lid lowers from the cabinet onto the tub to close it. That lid and its seal sit behind most leak and poor-wash complaints: a seal that is torn, hardened or displaced lets water escape and pressure drop. Because the drawer travels, the hoses and wiring that feed it bend every time it opens, and after years of that they wear. The filter in the bottom of each drawer needs regular cleaning too, and a clogged one produces drain faults that look like a failed pump. Tall items sticking up can also hold the lid off.
Parts that tend to fail on Fisher & Paykel dishwashers
- Lid seal torn or out of position
- Drain filter clogged
- Lid motor or mechanism not closing
- Flex hose or wiring worn from drawer travel
- Wash pump or motor failure

Fisher & Paykel Dishwasher: Questions We Hear
Quick answers to what people ask most. If yours isn't here, bring it up on the phone or type it into the notes box when you book.
Something else on your mind?
Reach out with the brand, the symptom and a model number if you have one. Some questions we can answer on the spot; the rest a technician can check in person.
Most often from past the lid seal, which presses on the top of the tub during a cycle. A torn or shifted seal, or dishes standing up high enough to hold the lid off, lets water out. We inspect the seal and the lid mechanism and look over the drawer's hoses while we're there.
Check the filter first. It sits in the bottom of the drawer and clogs with food, glass and labels, and the drawer can report that as a drain fault. If it's clean, we test the drain pump and the hose run under the cabinet.
