Miele Dishwasher Repair in Houses, Apartments and Rentals

We have no affiliation with Miele and are not one of its service centers. A dishwasher still covered by the Miele warranty belongs with Miele first. Once it's out of coverage, give us the model number and the symptom when you book so we can look into parts ahead of time.

Basement laundry
In older houses the washer and dryer are often downstairs, past narrow steps and low beams, draining to a laundry tub or floor drain. Tell us how to get down there.
Rowhouses & older homes
New appliances often sit on old wiring, gas lines and vents. We check what feeds the machine as well as the machine.
Hillsides & parking
Steps up to the front door, permit-only blocks, alley entrances. A note about access when you book gets the visit started sooner.
Rentals & landlords
Tenants can book. The owner or manager gets the diagnosis and the price, and approves before any work.
Cold garages & porches
A spare fridge or freezer in an unheated space may stop holding temperature in winter without anything having failed. Check the manual's temperature range first.
Honest advice
If an older machine isn't worth the repair, we'll tell you so, and explain what actually broke.

How a Dishwasher Repair Visit Works

01

Describe the Problem

The brand, the model number if it's handy, and what the appliance is doing. A photo of the rating label is a bonus.

02

Diagnosis On Site

The technician tests the appliance and its power, water, drain, gas or vent until the failed part is found.

03

Explanation and Quote

You hear what failed and what the repair costs, then decide. Nothing starts without your OK.

04

Repair and Test

The part goes in, the appliance runs a cycle, and you see that it works before we leave.

How Miele builds its dishwashers

Miele dishwashers use a circulation pump with a heater, a separate drain pump, a filter combination at the bottom and the Waterproof system with a float in the base pan and, on many models, a safety valve on the inlet hose. AutoDos dispenses detergent from a PowerDisk. Common faults include a drain fault from a clogged filter or pump (shown as F11 on many older models), leak shutdowns, heater failures and dosing issues. Door hinges and springs wear. We clean the filter and pump, then check the base for water and the heater.

Parts that tend to fail on Miele dishwashers

  • Drain filter clogged
  • Waterproof float tripped
  • Heater not warming water
  • AutoDos not dispensing
  • Door spring worn

Symptoms that aren't specific to one maker are covered on our dishwasher repair page.

FAQ

Miele Dishwasher: Questions We Hear

Quick answers to what people ask most. If yours isn't here, bring it up on the phone or type it into the notes box when you book.

Something else on your mind?

Reach out with the brand, the symptom and a model number if you have one. Some questions we can answer on the spot; the rest a technician can check in person.

Rinse the filter set in the tub floor and check the drain hose. If it connects to a disposal, run the disposal. If the fault stays, we test the drain pump.

The heater, which is part of the circulation pump on many models, may have failed. We test the heater and the temperature sensor.
