Dacor Dishwasher Repair in Houses, Apartments and Rentals

We have no affiliation with Dacor and are not one of its service centers. A dishwasher still covered by the Dacor warranty belongs with Dacor first. Once it's out of coverage, give us the model number and the symptom when you book so we can look into parts ahead of time.

Basement laundry
In older houses the washer and dryer are often downstairs, past narrow steps and low beams, draining to a laundry tub or floor drain. Tell us how to get down there.
Rowhouses & older homes
New appliances often sit on old wiring, gas lines and vents. We check what feeds the machine as well as the machine.
Hillsides & parking
Steps up to the front door, permit-only blocks, alley entrances. A note about access when you book gets the visit started sooner.
Rentals & landlords
Tenants can book. The owner or manager gets the diagnosis and the price, and approves before any work.
Cold garages & porches
A spare fridge or freezer in an unheated space may stop holding temperature in winter without anything having failed. Check the manual's temperature range first.
Honest advice
If an older machine isn't worth the repair, we'll tell you so, and explain what actually broke.

How a Dishwasher Repair Visit Works

01

Describe the Problem

The brand, the model number if it's handy, and what the appliance is doing. A photo of the rating label is a bonus.

02

Diagnosis On Site

The technician tests the appliance and its power, water, drain, gas or vent until the failed part is found.

03

Explanation and Quote

You hear what failed and what the repair costs, then decide. Nothing starts without your OK.

04

Repair and Test

The part goes in, the appliance runs a cycle, and you see that it works before we leave.

How Dacor builds its dishwashers

Dacor dishwashers sold since the Samsung acquisition are Samsung-platform machines in stainless and panel-ready forms. They use a removable filter under the lower spray arm, a wash pump, a separate drain pump and a leak sensor in the base that halts the cycle when water reaches it. Poor cleaning usually starts with a clogged filter or a spray arm blocked by debris. Leaks show up first as the machine stopping and draining. Panel-ready models carry a heavy wood door, and hinge springs matched to that weight keep the door from dropping. Older Dacor-branded dishwashers from before the acquisition came from other suppliers, so parts depend on the exact model.

Parts that tend to fail on Dacor dishwashers

  • Filter clogged, poor cleaning
  • Leak sensor stopping the cycle
  • Drain pump blocked
  • Door hinge spring broken
  • Water inlet valve failed

The general dishwasher repair guide covers faults that turn up on every make.

FAQ

Dacor Dishwasher: Questions We Hear

Quick answers to what people ask most. If yours isn't here, bring it up on the phone or type it into the notes box when you book.

Something else on your mind?

Reach out with the brand, the symptom and a model number if you have one. Some questions we can answer on the spot; the rest a technician can check in person.

The leak sensor in the base likely detected water, and the machine pumps out to protect the floor. We find the source, often a door gasket, a loose hose or a cracked sump, repair it and dry the base.

Clean the filter under the lower spray arm and check that both arms spin freely. If performance doesn't improve, we test the wash pump, the fill level and the water temperature.
