JennAir Refrigerator Repair in Houses, Apartments and Rentals
We have no affiliation with JennAir and are not one of its service centers. A refrigerator still covered by the JennAir warranty belongs with JennAir first. Once it's out of coverage, give us the model number and the symptom when you book so we can look into parts ahead of time.
How a Refrigerator Repair Visit Works
Describe the Problem
The brand, the model number if it's handy, and what the appliance is doing. A photo of the rating label is a bonus.
Diagnosis On Site
The technician tests the appliance and its power, water, drain, gas or vent until the failed part is found.
Explanation and Quote
You hear what failed and what the repair costs, then decide. Nothing starts without your OK.
Repair and Test
The part goes in, the appliance runs a cycle, and you see that it works before we leave.
How JennAir builds its refrigerators
JennAir's built-in refrigerators run on Whirlpool-designed systems but are packaged very differently: tall cabinets set flush with the cabinetry, heavy doors and panels, and on many models a machine compartment at the top behind a grille. That top compartment collects dust and heat, so a condenser cleaning is a routine part of any visit. Common faults include ice makers that quit, water inlet valves that fail, and evaporator fans that stall in frost once defrost stops working. Most models use electronic sensors and a control board rather than a simple dial thermostat. Hinges carrying a heavy panel also drift over time, and a door that doesn't seal leads to frost inside and sweating on the trim.
Parts that tend to fail on JennAir refrigerators
- Condenser dusty in top compartment
- Ice maker not producing
- Water inlet valve failed
- Evaporator fan stalled by frost
- Door hinge out of adjustment

JennAir Refrigerator: Questions We Hear
Quick answers to what people ask most. If yours isn't here, bring it up on the phone or type it into the notes box when you book.
Something else on your mind?
Reach out with the brand, the symptom and a model number if you have one. Some questions we can answer on the spot; the rest a technician can check in person.
On many built-ins the condenser sits behind the top grille, where dust collects. Clean it the way the manual describes. If it still runs constantly, a fan, a sensor or a door that isn't sealing could be the cause.
The water supply, the inlet valve, the fill tube for ice, and the ice maker module itself. A clogged water filter or low water pressure can also leave the tray short of water.
