How Thor Kitchen builds its refrigerators
Thor's refrigerators are mostly French door and built-in panel-ready models with a bottom freezer, frost-free cooling and, on many models, an ice maker in the freezer. When the fresh-food section warms while the freezer stays cold, the usual cause is an evaporator smothered in frost from a failed defrost heater, sensor or control, or an evaporator fan that has stopped moving air up through the ducts. A refrigerant leak is possible but less likely. Ice makers usually fail at the inlet valve, an iced-up fill tube or the ice maker assembly. Panel-ready doors add weight, and a sagging door stops sealing. Thor refrigerator parts are less widely stocked, so we confirm availability early.
