Samsung Cooktop Repair in Houses, Apartments and Rentals

We have no affiliation with Samsung and are not one of its service centers. A cooktop still covered by the Samsung warranty belongs with Samsung first. Once it's out of coverage, give us the model number and the symptom when you book so we can look into parts ahead of time.

Basement laundry
In older houses the washer and dryer are often downstairs, past narrow steps and low beams, draining to a laundry tub or floor drain. Tell us how to get down there.
Rowhouses & older homes
New appliances often sit on old wiring, gas lines and vents. We check what feeds the machine as well as the machine.
Hillsides & parking
Steps up to the front door, permit-only blocks, alley entrances. A note about access when you book gets the visit started sooner.
Rentals & landlords
Tenants can book. The owner or manager gets the diagnosis and the price, and approves before any work.
Cold garages & porches
A spare fridge or freezer in an unheated space may stop holding temperature in winter without anything having failed. Check the manual's temperature range first.
Honest advice
If an older machine isn't worth the repair, we'll tell you so, and explain what actually broke.

How a Cooktop Repair Visit Works

01

Describe the Problem

The brand, the model number if it's handy, and what the appliance is doing. A photo of the rating label is a bonus.

02

Diagnosis On Site

The technician tests the appliance and its power, water, drain, gas or vent until the failed part is found.

03

Explanation and Quote

You hear what failed and what the repair costs, then decide. Nothing starts without your OK.

04

Repair and Test

The part goes in, the appliance runs a cycle, and you see that it works before we leave.

How Samsung builds its cooktops

Samsung builds induction, radiant electric and gas cooktops, and each fails differently. Induction units rely on power boards and coils under the glass, cooled by a small fan; a clogged intake or a failed fan lets the electronics overheat, and a bad board can take one or two zones out while the rest work. Some models add Virtual Flame lighting that is purely visual. Radiant cooktops use infinite switches or electronic controls feeding ribbon elements, and a dead zone is usually the element, switch or a scorched wire at the terminal block. Gas models need a clean igniter, a dry burner base and a working spark module. Cracked glass on any electric model is a replacement of the whole top, which we price out plainly.

Parts that tend to fail on Samsung cooktops

  • Induction power board dead on some zones
  • Cooling fan clogged or failed
  • Radiant element open circuit
  • Spark module clicking nonstop
  • Glass top cracked

FAQ

Samsung Cooktop: Questions We Hear

Quick answers to what people ask most. If yours isn't here, bring it up on the phone or type it into the notes box when you book.

Something else on your mind?

Reach out with the brand, the symptom and a model number if you have one. Some questions we can answer on the spot; the rest a technician can check in person.

Not necessarily. Induction cooktops often power zones in pairs from one board, so losing two at once points to that board or its connection. We test the coils and board to confirm before quoting a part.

Moisture in the burner base, a wet or dirty igniter, or a spark switch stuck in one of the knobs will keep it sparking. Let it dry and clean the burner parts. If it continues, the switch or spark module needs testing.
